Registration is now open for the FY27 African American Heritage Preservation Program (AAHPP) Webinars & In-Person Workshops.
Administered as a partnership between Maryland Historical Trust (MHT) and the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture (MCAAHC), AAHPP provides grants to assist with the preservation of buildings, sites, or communities of historical and cultural importance to the African American experience in Maryland.
This spring, MHT and MCAAHC will hold three live webinars and two in-person workshops for prospective AAHPP applicants. Attend a virtual session or in-person workshop to learn if your project is eligible, how to submit an application, selection criteria, and more. Attendance is free, but you must register to participate and for more information.

Application materials are now available on the program webpage for the FY27 grant round. Grant applications will open on April 2, 2026. Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the grant guidelines, view a recorded webinar, and contact program staff with any questions or to learn if your project is eligible. All applications must be completed and submitted by 11:59 PM on July 1, 2026.
