BDM’s 40th Anniversary Campaign

Since its founding in 1984, the Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Museum has been dedicated to empowering communities by preserving and sharing Maryland’s African American history, art, and culture.

On February 24, 1984, the Mt. Moriah AME Church was dedicated as the Banneker-Douglass Museum of Afro-American Life and History– Maryland’s official state museum on African American history and culture.

The Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Endowment Fund

Help support the Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Museum Endowment Fund, created through a Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) 25th Anniversary Designated Fund​, with a special gift. Consider making a tax-smart donation with appreciated stocks and bonds, qualified charitable distributions (QCD) from an IRA, or a variety of planned gifts.
