Weather Monitoring & Gullah Geechee Nation Trip Postponement
On Tuesday, Governor Moore signed a State of Preparedness declaration ahead of possible effects from the remnants of Hurricane Debby this week. While the path is still uncertain, possible effects on Maryland could include heavy rain and winds, and inland and tidal flooding.
In light of the weather advisories for Maryland, we will closely monitor for impacts on early closure today and closure tomorrow of the museum. Please stay up-to-date via our website, Facebook page, and Instagram page.
Additionally, we, along with TAI Tours, have made the decision to postpone the upcoming Gullah Geechee Nation trip to South Carolina until further notice. The safety and well-being of our attendees are our number one priority, and we believe this is the best course of action under the current circumstances presented by Hurricane Debby.
