Let our Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Museum Gallery Guides bring Maryland’s African American heritage to life for you and your group! Through engaging stories, powerful history and art exhibitions, and insider knowledge, our docents create a one-of-a-kind experience.   1. Permanent and Temporary Exhibitions Tour can range between 30 minutes and 2 hours
  2. The tour fee $5.00 per person.
  3. Tour must be scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance. Please complete the Guided Tour Request form below to submit your guided tour request.

    While guided tours can be tailored to individual group needs, the recommended tour

    H. Site Rules and Regulations

    Chaperones: One adult must accompany every 10 students. Chaperones remain
    with the group at all times, help maintain order student behavior, and assist the
    student during the program.

    Lunch Space: The museum is unable to provide space to eat lunch.

    Cost and Payment: Payment for the Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Museum Docent guided
    tour or workshop can be paid by cash or check in advance by mail, or can be
    brought to the museum at time of the activity. Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Museum
    reserves the right to cancel a program if payment is not received. A confirmation
    letter will be sent at time tour has been booked.

    Cancellations and Refunds: For cancellations or rescheduling of programs, please call O. Abiola Akintola at (667) 500-2264. Please notify the museum of any cancellations at least 48 hours in advance of your program. If a school cancels because of inclement weather, the Museum will reschedule the program or provide a full refund should payment be made in advance. If you are late for your schedule program, the Museum reserves the right to cancel the program.
